Casco Bay Engagement Shoot With Lighthouse

Hannah and Cameron’s engagement photoshoot at Bug Lighthouse and along the waterfront in South Portland was the perfect blend of charm, coastal breeze, and city skyline views. South Portland is one of our favorite locations for engagement sessions—it offers the serenity of the ocean with the drama of Portland’s skyline just across the bay. And these two brought so much joy and energy to every moment!

We started the session at the iconic Bug Light, one of Maine’s most unique lighthouses. Its petite stature and dramatic ocean backdrop make it ideal for portraits that feel both classic and romantic. Hannah and Cameron were naturals—laughing, walking hand-in-hand, and soaking up the early evening light like it was made just for them. As South Portland engagement photographers, we love how this location gives variety without having to travel far.

Afterwards, we headed to the nearby docks, where the views of the Portland skyline created a striking contrast to the soft ocean tones at the lighthouse. The harbor was calm, the boats gently rocking in the background, and the skyline bathed in the glow of the setting sun.
