Off The Presses

I did a photoshoot with a young model named Dally a couple of years ago, and though she had a calm enough personality when she wasn't working, when she modelled, she was ferocious.

We were doing a fashion shoot at my studio, and she was so animated and animalistic that dresses were literally unravelling while she wore them. I had to call the shoot after the fourth dress came apart, as we had nothing left on the rack for her to model, and she was down to just black gloves and beads.

When it came time to print my favorites, I wanted to match the chaotic vibe of the shoot, and so I merged a posterized print with scanned-in newsprint to create a series of muti-media fashion images. This one is my favorite.
