Reflection

Back when Lucia and I lived in Southern California, I'd go weeks without seeing rain, and my images there were all sunshine and swimsuits.

But I'm a New England native, and not only do I like the seasons, but I like precipitation. Rain, snow, sleet, hail, water falling from the sky transforms a scene, and then it leaves puddles, which are like mirrors scattered around a landscape.

This photo of Calynn is on my list of favorite images because it's a Maine coast in the fall - brownish skies, sweaters at the beach, and that reflection on the rock keeps me looking at it.
