Sparkler Send Off
I love sparkler exits, but late in the evening on a dark night, it can be tough to see the couple no matter how many sparklers are lit.
Most of the time Lucia, who is a little thing not even 5' tall, is holding a flash on a 10' pole over the top of the couple. Of course, she's not tall enough to see over the crowd, so she has me shouting at her to move forward or backward so the light hits the couple. And of course, they're usually charging up and down the aisle.
Good times. Were I a smarter photographer I'd mount some sort of mirror on the flash pole so Lucia knows what she's shining a light on, but if it gets easy I won't be as thrilled when it works out this well.
This is from Caitlin and Eric's in Ohio. I don't like to fly for weddings (too much gear), so it's a testimony to how much we like them and their families that we were there at all.
