River Winds Farm is a working horse farm in Saco, Maine, and a hybrid wedding barn, and its beautiful!

Here’s why I say hybrid. There’s a lot of ‘rustic’ barns in New England being offered for your wedding right now. River Winds has a brand new pressed-concrete floor (so no gaps for heels to stick in or nails sticking out), and while its wonderfully country, rustic, and vintage, there’s NOTHING dilapidated about it. And in addition to the grounds and brand new barn, your wedding rental includes the main house – a 7 bedroom estate with a professional kitchen, man cave, swimming pool, indoor hot tub, and room for a bridal party to truly enjoy a weekend. You’ve got to see it to believe it. River Winds Farm is special.

Anyway, when owner Beth Austin finished converting the new wedding barn, she and planner-extraordinaire Elishia Townsend had Focus Photography shoot a styled wedding to show off River Winds. If you don’t know, a styled shoot isn’t real, so the bride and groom in these images (Kylee and Caleb) didn’t know each other before, and the connection between them in the romantic images is staged. They were both amazing sports about it, and I loved getting to work with them. – Will

After the shoot there was an industry launch party, so the great drinks, appetizers, desserts, and crepes all got eaten, and weren’t just for show! River Winds is a really cool venue – you should totally schedule a site visit, and then call Focus Photography to cover your wedding!
