Emily and Jeff got married on a torrential fall day in Maine, at the beautiful River Winds Farm and Estate Wedding Venue in Saco. They had planned to have a ceremony in front of the pond, and then a leisurely afternoon enjoying the foliage. They didnโt get it. They werenโt that put out.
This was their second wedding, of course. Their first wedding was last year, when Covid protocols stopped them from having any family or friends attend their marriage. It sounds like they had a memorable ceremony – we all saw it re-enacted, and it was meaningful!
Here are some great things to look for in this gallery: the ceremony, performed by his mother and her father; the farm-to-table caterers; the rocking good band out of Boston; and our night portraits outside in the rain with the barn and the estate behind them. I hope you like the images.
At the Estate, Before the Ceremony
It all starts with the dress
The First Look
That Bouquet! Jeff’s boutonniere is great too – perfect fall flower choices.
We did family portraits in the living room at the Estate, and then did large groups in a tent on the back porch.

Let the party begin!
It might have rained a little….

Both Emily’s and Jeff’s Sister gave toasts.
Cake, and then Dinner
The Cake – Lindell’s Bakery (Somerville/Medford)
These guys (Shovel to Spoon) grow all their own vegetables, use only locally sourced meats, and then cook everything from scratch at the venue. Amazing!
Shovel to Spoon served a family-style dinner. See the cast-iron pan on the table? Braised local beef!
The Party
The band, Silver Arrow out of Boston, kept the party on the dance floor all night!
Hands in the air on the dance floor – I bet you can guess the song their dancing to!

Thanks for reading all the way to the bottom! Lucia and I had so much fun at this wedding! Thanks to everyone at the event for making us feel so welcome!
