Attention former scouts! Are you looking for the perfect place to have your outdoorsy wedding?
In 2018 the Boy Scouts added a 900 person (!) dining room to Camp Hinds in Raymond, ME, that looks like the world’s swankiest log cabin. Really.
When the scouts have summer camp, it’s unavailable for wedding, but the rest of the year it’s a prime wedding venue in the middle of the woods.
Maine has a lot of incredible outdoor locations for weddings, but few of them have 100 scout cabins on the grounds for your guests to stay in!

This was a fun and intimate wedding at a lake house on Province Lake in Wakefield, New Hampshire. This place was perfect for a summer wedding. There was a dock if you wanted to go swimming and a canoe (which the bride and groom took out on the water during the reception) and a backyard-style reception party.
Here’s a fun wedding story: Tammie and Brady are from Wisconsin, but live here in Maine. Knowing that 90% of their wedding guests were going to be coming all the way from Wisconsin, they chose a place where their guests could spend a whole week with them celebrating. They chose Point Sebago, a family-friendly resort on Lake Sebago.
Are You Looking For The Best Photographers For Your Camp Hinds Wedding?
Congratulations – You’ve Found Us!
We’re Will and Lucia – the photographers behind Focus Photography.
Drop your details into the form on the right, and we’ll send you our wedding guide and price list.
Though Focus Photography kind of sounds like a whole team of photographers, it’s just the two of us that shot everything on this site.
The upside – you’re going to work the photographers who created all the images we show, and not an ‘apprentice’ we brought on last month.
But the downside is, we can only shoot one wedding a day, and 30 in a season, so we do ask you to put your date on the form on the right so we can ensure we’re still available!
