What Maine Parents need to know about Senior Portraits
Hey Parents, are you wondering what your student means when they say their yearbook photo is due in September and you have to find a photographer?

Welcome to their senior year. There’s a strong possibility the school had some sort of advance notice that this year, you would be choosing a photographer, but they definitely didn’t send it you.
I know this because I’ve been a senior portrait photographer for 20 years, and I’ve never met a parent who was prepared for their first child becoming a senior. So it’s not your fault, but let’s get you up to speed.
Only the most unpopular kids will be using the school photographer this year, and by calling us at Focus Photography, you have a chance to celebrate everything that is great about your senior before they leave home.
If you don’t want to read all the details, set up a 15 minute phone call or Zoom meeting here, and Lucia will talk you through it all.
But for parents who want to know all the details, here’s what I’m going to explain:
- Why Senior Pictures Matter
- Who Focus Photography Is
- When To Schedule
- Where We Photograph Seniors
- How Much Do Senior Pictures Cost?
- What Should Your Senior Wear
- Should You Attend?
- How To Display Senior Portraits
- Our Guarantee
- 4 Steps To Give Your Senior An Amazing Experience
By the way, this menu is repeated at the bottom of each guide page, so you don’t need to keep coming back to this page:)
Set up a call with the button below, or visit our Schedule Page to arrange a showroom or Zoom meeting.

What Chris and his mom said:
I don’t like being photographed… but I love the posters with my guitars!!
“ My pictures are really well done, and they capture a lot of different sides and emotions. My session was fun and easy (and this is coming from someone who dreaded doing it in the first place).”
“I want to thank you for making it easy for me. I don’t like being photographed, I didn’t want a headshot, and I didn’t want to look at pictures of myself.”
“But I love the posters we did with all my guitars, and I’m really glad I came!
“You put Chris at ease – he did not want to do this, and you inspired him to have fun with it!”
