Should Parents Come Along?
Yes, if there’s any way you can make it, please come!
The question comes up because many parents are trying to give their seniors a little space, and a lot of responsibility, and worry they’ll smother, or intimidate, their student.
We understand, and as advocates for your kids, we’ll make sure their voice is heard during a photo shoot, and Will will certainly ask you to sit somewhere with a great view if he needs to move you out of the way. 🙂
But seniors absolutely need their parents at their photo shoot.
They’ll be self-concious, and you’ll put them at ease. They’ll have extra outfits, and it’s hard to be a rockstar without a roadie to carry your gear.
But there’s another reason why we really want you there. Most seniors leave home shortly after graduating, and there’s only going to be so many opportunities for you to be involved, so we don’t think you should miss this one.
We don’t necessarily require parents to attend the photo shoot, but we do require someone to accompany all seniors, and we think it should be you!
Besides, if you’re not there, how can we sneak you into a couple of pictures?
