What months are best?

Before the yearbook deadline, which is often in the fall!

July through October of your rising senior’s year are the busiest times for senior photoshoots.

Which is ridiculous, because they’re not even a senior yet in July and August, but practical, because most yearbook deadlines are early fall to early winter.

We feel your pain, believe us. We wish we shot more senior pictures in the spring, with prom dresses, graduation gowns, and kids excited to graduate.

But even though the yearbook won’t be printed until May, most yearbook advisors want all the seniors’ pictures in during September and October, so the yearbook committee has time to lay out their design.

If you’d like to know your school’s exact deadline, Lucia probably has it, and you can drop us a line using the Let’s Chat button above.

If you (and your senior) don’t care about the yearbook, we’ll be happy to photograph you any time throughout the winter and spring!

Our studio typically books clients 2 to 3 weeks out for photoshoots, and then we need time for editing, choosing your favorites, and production before we can submit anything.

The upshot is, if you have a yearbook deadline in October, you’ll probably need to be photographed in August.

What Vanessa said:

Some of my pictures are so good I have to remind myself whose picture I’m looking at.

“I had a really enjoyable time at my photo shoot.  I like how the photographer’s directions were easy to follow and understand.  He gave me the freedom to do what I want, or the ability to follow his directions into a really good pose.”

“Some of my pictures are so good I have to take a second look and remind myself whose picture I’m looking at.”

“If you want something really unique, and you’re not afraid to spend a little money, go to focus, especially if you don’t want your pictures looking like everyone else’s.”
