Sunsets at the Inn on Peaks Island!
Twilight is beautiful at the Inn on Peaks, as it faces West towards Portland. There are very few places on the East Coast where you can actually see the sun meeting the horizon, and that golden light is magical.
Island Weddings just 15 minutes from Portland
The Inn on Peaks Island is located a 15 minute ferry ride from Portland, ME. The island has a relaxed vibe, similar to visiting Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket. The Inn itself is a smaller bed and breakfast, and the proximity to downtown Portland’s hotels makes the Inn a perfect wedding venue.
Here’s some things the Inn on Peaks Island offers:

Will grew up with a black and white darkroom in his basement, and his first photographic love is B&W.
Love isn’t dull – it’s dramatic, bright, awe-inspiring and fully saturated.
As you look at our galleries, note the chromaticity, and how your eyes react.
There’s a beach and boat launch just below the ferry dock, not 100 yards from the Inn. Any time of day (but particularly at sunset) the beach is great for wedding pictures.

With both a tented dining area and an indoor dance floor, the Inn on Peaks offers weddings a variety of spaces over the course of an event.
Here are a couple of weddings we photographed at the Inn on Peaks:
Outdoor ceremonies can be held alongside the tent in the side gardens. There’s a gazebo for your ceremony, and room to sit 160 on the lawn.
A tented reception offers couples a thousand choices for wedding decor. A white tent is literally a blank canvas for your ideas.
If you need help, the space on the right was created by Laurie Andrews Event Design out of Portland.
