End Of Night

We always try to get one last image of the wedding couple when we’re through for the day. Sometimes we can do things under the stars, other times we can use the lights of the party, or do something crazy with champagne or sparklers.

One thing that is almost always true: the couple has been having a crazy time on the dance floor, and they are no longer quite as camera ready as they were hours earlier.

The end of the Elizabeth and Brent’s wedding was no different. It was too cold to go outside, and the tables of Grace (their reception spot) were filled with partially finished plates, so I didn’t want them to show.

Lucia and I put two lights behind the couple, bright enough for me to overpower the room lights, and hide the tables in darkness. If you look closely, you’ll see the candles burning dimly in the background.

This makes a great image to end a wedding album. You can see the connection between the couple, but not the perspiration from a night on the dance floor.
