I want you to know that I used all of my restraint to not call this post Elizabeth and Brent’s Grace-ful wedding, as I thought it was too obvious a joke, but then I couldn’t stop myself from writing it here anyway.
If you weren’t there, they got married at Grace (thus my bad put), an event space on Chestnut Street in Portland – literally right across from the Portland Masonic. Grace is the ultimate example of minimalism – there’s a downstairs, an upstairs, and a balcony. I don’t think there are any rooms to speak of at all, just an incredibly open space that must have been an amazing church in its time.
Blue Elephant Events & Catering handled everything that happened at Grace, and they even lit and arranged the candles Elizabeth bought. I’m sure it took hours to blow them all out.
Brent and Elizabeth’s decor kept with the minimal theme: take a beautiful space, and add thousands of candles. Done, and perfect.
The images follow their walk downtown to Grace; the ceremony; and the party. My favorite images are those at the end, and I hope you’ll scroll far enough to see them. Thanks for looking! Will
