River Winds has a brand new Patio installed in their back yard, just off last year’s addition, the cocktail deck, and we were excited that Nate and Katrina were planning on having their ceremony on the Patio, and cocktails on the deck.
Except that one week after it was 95 and sunny, the weather got cold and downright British.
For some couples that would be devastating, but for Katrina, Nate, and their families, this was just a minor speedbump. The River Winds crew moved everything into the barn, and the wedding went on at full speed.
Enjoy the pictures, share this post on all the sites you go to, and at the bottom of the page I’ll list all their vendors. Oh, and if you want to see the full gallery, you can follow this link.
Here are my favorite images from the day – I hope you like them!
The Barn set for ceremony
A few of the details from the estate where Nate, Katrina, and their wedding party stayed
Katrina
The bridesmaids and Mom helped Katrina dress.

Nate
Meanwhile, they guys were watching a YouTube video to try to learn how to knot a tie.
Making their challenge more difficult (or more fun) – they were getting ready in the bar!
Nate – tie tied, flower on.
The First Look
A very popular moment with our couples, the first look takes place before the ceremony, and allows the groom to see his bride and her dress without everyone he knows watching him.
Nate had to wait until Katrina tapped him on the shoulder, and only then could he turn and face her.
With the rain approaching, we were able to get a few portraits made before we had to run for shelter.

The Ceremony
Nate and flower dude Matt got up to no good in the rain, as the door girls prepared to throw open the barn.
Flower dude Matt saved some of his petals to throw during the couples’ first kiss.
Cocktails & Blunts
During cocktails, guests enjoyed themselves in the barn.
Actually, they enjoyed themselves outside too!
The Reception
During the intros, a surprise proposal. Psych! Just a loose lace – Lydia took it well!
The First Dance
As the night went on, desserts were served, and cake was cut.
At the end of our night, we asked Katrina and Nate if they’d do one last portrait with us, but it had to be outside in the rain. Thankfully, they were good sports about it.
